Parent Migration Pathway : Subclass 143 Visa
The Contributory Parent Visa (Subclass 143) is a permanent residence visa for parents of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens who are settled in Australia. This pathway lets parents live in Australia indefinitely and enjoy the rights of permanent residents, including access to the public healthcare system (Medicare), the ability to work and study, and eligibility to apply for citizenship if conditions are met. Applicants must be sponsored by an eligible child, satisfy the balance‑of‑family test, provide an Assurance of Support, and meet health and character standards. This visa also allows travel to and from Australia for five years after grant.
